North Carolina State canceled its scheduled Saturday men's basketball game against UConn after a member of the Wolfpack's traveling party tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, the school announced.
The game was to be played in the Mohegan Sun "bubble" in Uncasville, Conn., where NC State has been since arriving to face UMass Lowell on Thursday. The Wolfpack won that contest 90-59 to improve to 3-0 on the season.
The NC State athletic department said in a statement that the basketball team was headed back to Raleigh, N.C. The Wolfpack's next scheduled game is Wednesday at Michigan.
The Huskies (3-0) also played their first Mohegan Sun game Thursday, when they edged Southern California 61-58. The next game on their schedule is at home Friday against St. John's in their Big East Conference opener.
