The Philadelphia Union, Minnesota United and Los Angeles FC each announced Wednesday that a player tested positive for COVID-19, but their respective games went on Wednesday night.
The identities of the players who tested positive weren't revealed by the teams.
The Union beat the visiting Chicago Fire 2-1 while Minnesota topped the Colorado Rapids 2-1 and LAFC defeated the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-1.
Philadelphia said a "first-team player" tested positive and that all other players and members of the team returned consecutive negative tests. The Union said the player who tested positive was self-isolating "under a strict and detailed protocol."
Minnesota confirmed its positive test to a player and said all the others players and staff members returned consecutive negative tests. The player who tested positive is self-isolating and will do so until cleared by the team medical staff, according to the team.
LAFC made a similar announcement, that a lone player tested positive and was isolated from the team. All other players and staffers tested negative Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the club.
